Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania


Traveling to Pittsburgh for the U.S. Golf Open is a fantastic opportunity for golf enthusiasts and travelers alike. Pittsburgh, particularly its surrounding areas, is home to some of the most prestigious and historic golf courses in the world, making it an ideal location for the U.S. Open. 

 

Oakmont Country Club, located just outside Pittsburgh, is one of the most famous and challenging golf courses in the United States. It has hosted the U.S. Open nine times, more than any other course, and is known for its fast greens, deep bunkers, and narrow fairways. Watching top golfers navigate this legendary course is a must for any fan of the sport.  While visiting for the U.S. Open, you can take time to explore Pittsburgh’s rich cultural and historical attractions. From the Andy Warhol Museum to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the city offers plenty of things to see and do. Pittsburgh is also known for its beautiful skyline and rivers, which you can enjoy from the vantage points on Mount Washington


Rome, Italy

Across all of 2025 the Jubilee – an event called by the Pope – will draw millions of pilgrims to Rome. The Jubilee is an important time for Catholics to seek forgiveness, deepen their faith, and reconnect with the Church and its history. In 2025, the Holy Door at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican will be opened to mark the beginning of the Jubilee Year, a significant event in the Catholic Church symbolizing spiritual renewal and forgiveness. Traditionally, the door remains sealed and is only opened every 25 years, inviting pilgrims from around the world to pass through it as a symbol of grace and mercy.  It’s expected an extra 20 million people will pour into Rome across the year, so planning ahead is key. If you’re considering visiting Italy in 2025, then of course you want to see Rome’s Coliseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum and Trevi Fountain. 


Alaska

Alaska is one of the best places in the world to witness the magical Northern Lights. In winter and early spring, you can catch stunning displays of the aurora, especially in areas like Fairbanks and Denali. One of your highlights will be riding a Dome Railcar on the Alaska Railroad to the Golden Heart City of Fairbanks.  Many visitors choose to explore Alaska by taking a scenic cruise along its rugged coastline. Portugal

Switzerland

Switzerland, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and pristine alpine beauty, offers a wide array of captivating tours that cater to every traveler’s interest. Moab, Utah

Moab is a city in eastern Utah. It’s a gateway to massive red rock formations in Arches National Park. Southwest, Canyonlands National Park features mesas and buttes carved by the Green and Colorado rivers, plus Native American rock art. Lace up your hiking boots because Moab is an outdoor enthusiast's wonderland. The Utah city is nestled between five national parks, offering hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and other outdoor adventures. Be sure to make time for stargazing. 


Sun Valley, Idaho

Idaho's Sun Valley is a famous and picturesque resort town tucked into the Rocky Mountains, and is famous for its exceptional ski resorts, including Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain, which offer diverse terrains for all skill levels. In the winter, snow sports are the thing to do, but the town is also perfect for hiking, leaf peeping, and mountain biking during the warmer months. Sun Valley also holds a special connection to Ernest Hemingway, who spent much of his time here. Visitors can explore the places he frequented, including his memorial near Trail Creek, and learn about his life and work at various local spots. 


Denmark

Denmark consistently ranks as one of the happiest countries in the world and is the home of hygge, the concept of coziness, well-being and enjoying life’s simpler pleasures. Visitors can experience this through charming cafés, candlelit restaurants, and friendly gatherings, especially in colder months. This concept drives much of Danish society and results in a warm, welcoming place for visitors.  Denmark is full of stunning castles, like Kronborg Castle (the inspiration for Shakespeare's Hamlet), Frederiksborg Castle, and Amalienborg Palace.
